Since 1984, WFC Resources has been working to help employers create a workplace that is both supportive and effective, one that ensures that your investment in employees pays off.
We believe the secret behind successful organizations is a work environment with a dual agenda – one that meets business goals and also allows employees to meet their personal responsibilities. We provide change management consulting, leadership coaching and training to help you achieve that goal.
Rachel Thiemann is president and CEO of WFC Resources.
For over two decades I have worked with Fortune 500 clients, helping them to develop enterprise-wide remote work programs. As a coach and hypnotherapist I also work with individuals to bring about lasting change at the deepest levels.
My career includes management experience, consulting, and training, leveraging my educational background in social psychology and my international business career in Mexico, the UK, and the USA in the public, private, non-profit, and entrepreneurial sectors. I’ve keynoted and provided content at major HR industry conferences such as SHRM, Alliance for Work-Life Progress, and WorldatWork, as well providing many small group coaching sessions and team-building events.
I take pleasure in researching and designing new content and have authored multiple online learning tools, including the program From Stress to Resilience for the US Navy, as well as providing training for emerging leaders in the Federal Government around sites across the USA as a faculty member of the Office of Personnel Management’s Leadership Assessment Program.
Based in Minnesota, I am originally from England, and I also spent a number of years in Mexico City as Director of the British-Mexican Chamber of Commerce. In the UK, I headed a major campaign for a national “Debate of the Age” around demographic aging and gaps in service delivery for an aging population. I won an IT award for my work in local government leading a ground-breaking multi-agency collaboration to provide person-centered care for older adults.
My volunteer work with Northern Star Scouting sees me delivering leadership training to adults and youth alike, often in large (100+ people) residential camp settings, as well as acting as Chancellor of the University of Scouting, which offers two major leadership training conferences per year, as well as my new initiative to bring our learning into the modern, on-demand age through our Extension Service.
WFC Resources was founded in 1984 to help organizations establish corporate-sponsored childcare centers. For 20 years, we tracked and wrote about the history and current practices in the workplace, creating the Work-Life Clearinghouse – the world’s largest online database of best practices in work-life. In the late 1990s, we became one of the nation’s leaders in providing customizable e-courses. Our online courses made a difference for managers and employees in nearly 120 companies worldwide.
We have also been active in the advancement of the work-life industry through networks and community initiatives. For two years, our company led the “When Work Works” program in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, part of the Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Workplace Excellence, as well as helping to launch the Minnesota Work-Life Champions Award. And recently we have been the provider of telework and flexibility training, consulting and outreach for eWorkPlace, Minnesota’s program to advance telecommuting in the state.
Over the years we've collaborated with many talented individuals and organizations, and a network of seasoned consultants can be tapped to meet the requirements and scope of any project.
